ADVOCACY
An advocate can help an individual explore their options, work through issues and make informed decisions. An advocate makes sure that people who provide support to you will do so respectfully and will speak out for you if your needs are not being met.
You can ask anyone you trust and know well to be your advocate. That could be a member of your family or a friend.
Alternatively you can access a person from a formal advocacy service.
